Squirrel Lodge

Forest of Dean Holiday Home

This is what our customers said on TripAdvisor about their stay at the Squirrel Lodge at Woodlands View:

The booking of the holiday was conducted in a speedy and efficient, yet friendly manner. The lodge was immaculate and a warm welcome was received from Sue who continued via text throughout the week to make sure everything was OK. Very central location for area attractions and plenty of dog friendly places to eat. Have stayed in the area before, but this has been the best accommodation and the one we would return to. Thank you Rich and Sue.

We stayed at the Woodlands View Lodge, Easter 2015,

This is a brand new holiday lodge with everything needed to make this feel home from home. All fittings and furniture are also new and are of excellent quality. Location is isolated as you would expect in the forest area which is why we booked it and is within easy walking distance of two award winning pubs, should you wish to use them. For mountain bike enthusiasts this is ideal as Cannop Cycle Centre is only 2 miles away and has numerous trails for all levels and abilities. We enjoyed our weekend break, cut off from work the moment we arrived and what better recommendation than we have booked again for a birthday break next month.

Many Thanks to Sue and Rich.

Kind regards Drew and Mel

We had a mid week break during the Easter Holidays with three young children. The location is central for all things in the Forrest of Deane. This is a brand new lodge furnished to a high standard and Sue & Rich have thought of everything you could need for a stay here from outdoor storage for bikes etc. to a well equipped kitchen. Fabulous!

A really nice new lodge. Convenient for the shops in Coleford yet has the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley on the doorstep. Plenty to do for everyone. Practically everything has been thought of. Nice to have a few things provided so you can have a cuppa before dashing off to the shops for supplies.

Myself, 2 sons, 2 grandchildren, daughter in law and dog stayed for a 2 night break. It was cold when we arrived, but the heating warmed the lodge up in no time at all! The facilities in the lodge are more than adequate, and it was a great base to see the area.
